Some topics covered include:

    • Taking notes
    • Reading & briefing cases
    • Outlining

  • A discussion of substantive baseline information expected of every student entering law school, including:
    • Legal research & writing
    • Common terms/phrases
    • Categories/classifications of law
    • Federal & state court systems
    • Basic civil procedure (including the litigation process)
    • Legal research & writing
  • A guide to effective study habits and a realistic picture of the time commitment required by law school.
  • A discussion of how law review, other law journals, moot court, and other aspects of law school fit into your law-school experience.
  • A discussion of the career opportunities that a law degree offers, including:
    • Traditional versus Non-traditional career options.
    • How to handle OCI (On campus Interviews).
    • Summer jobs and how they factor in to your ultimate job hunt.
